Financial contributions are the most effective way to provide support at this stage of the recovery process. It allows for local agencies to acquire the exact items they need to support their community.

NC VOAD is assisting with volunteer management and recruitment. While there might not be many immediate opportunities while the area infrastructure cannot support additional individuals, they can take information and also might have e-volunteer needs.

Larry Marks, with NC VOAD, is coordinating the donation of physical items. Only specific items are needed now and warehousing is extremely limited, so donations should be coordinated with NC VOAD.
To support the work of the NHDC, you can make tax-deductible donations to its sponsor organization, United Way of the Cape Fear Area. At the bottom of the donate page, indicate the donation is designated for the New Hanover Disaster Coalition.
